Jim Davis, CFP®, is a Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor at Aspen Wealth Management. He works with families, retirees, and business owners who want to use the resources they have worked hard to build to live well, support the people they care about, and make thoughtful financial decisions along the way.
Much of Jim’s work focuses on helping clients create a plan for their preferred lifestyle in a way that is tax-conscious, practical, and aligned with their long-term goals. That often includes retirement income planning, investment strategy, estate planning, charitable giving, insurance planning, and helping families think through how wealth should support the next chapter of life.
Before joining Aspen, Jim worked across several parts of the wealth management industry, including a large national brokerage firm, a multi-family office serving ultra-high-net-worth families, and a fee-based RIA in DFW. Those experiences shaped the way he serves clients today: with clear communication, practical advice, and the belief that money is ultimately a tool to support the people, priorities, and experiences that matter most.
Jim also helps lead Aspen’s client education, marketing, and outreach efforts. He enjoys making financial planning easier to understand and helping clients feel more confident in the decisions they are making.
Jim earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in 2019 and is a graduate of Abilene Christian University. He has been recognized by AdvisorHub as a 2025 Advisor to Watch in the RIA category, and his commentary has been featured in publications including Newsweek, Kiplinger, Yahoo Finance, and GOBankingRates.
Jim is actively involved in the local community and currently serves as a Board Member for the Northwest ISD Education Foundation. He also volunteers with various local organizations, often centered around education, financial literacy, and helping young people prepare for future success.
Outside of work, Jim is married to his college sweetheart, and they have three boys who keep them constantly on the move. Their family attends Milestone Church, and Jim enjoys spending time with his family, coaching and playing sports, traveling, running, and reading.
